Our first retreat at the Y camp was a wonderful adventure!  The scrappers braved the flood waters only to find themselves in a snow storm!  By Sunday, the weather was beautiful and everyone had a wonderful weekend of scrapping.

Our next retreat will begin on Friday, October 1st, 2010

There will be room for 20 scrappers at this event.  Your registration fee gets you 5 meals, goodie bags, door prizes, 2 nights stay in a dorm style cabin and a lot of fun!  Various vendors will also be available to purchase supplies from.

Due to some flooding over the past couple of years the Y Camp in Boone has been renovated.  The Pioneer Education Center is gorgeous!!!  It has a fire place for sitting with Friends and chatting as well as a huge scrap area!  Did I say HUGE?  You can not tell that you are at a camp when you are inside this building.

The Y camp sits on the edge of the Des Moines River and the scenery is beautiful. 

Sleeping arrangements - We will be using Deer Cabin and Cedar Cabin for our sleeping needs.  Deer cabin is a 2 story cabin.  The upstairs has 2 rooms, each with 6 sets of bunkbeds.  Each side has their own restroom.  The downstairs holds about 10 bunkbeds sharing the upstairs restrooms.

Cedar Cabin is a one story cabin with 4 rooms in it.  Each room has 2 sets of bunkbeds.  This cabin has 2 restrooms and a shared shower. The more private rooms are for individuals not able to climb stairs or for some reason need to have a more private sleeping arrangement. 

All meals are provided with your package along with a goodie bag and door prizes!  October will be a great time to be by the river.  The trees should be turning colors and the view will be great!
